Michael Dunlop is a professional motorcycle racer from Northern Ireland. He is the younger brother of William Dunlop and Daniel Dunlop.

His brother William Dunlop was also professional motorcycle racer. When William was 15, he began racing 125cc motorcycles. He won 108 Irish National Road Races during his racing career.
William Dunlop died as a result of catastrophic head injuries sustained during practise for the 2018 Skerries 100 Road Races in County Dublin. Dunlop’s Yamaha YZF-R1 bike poured oil from the engine sump onto the rear wheel, causing him to lose control and crash into a ditch and trees near the Sam’s Tunnel section of the track.

On February 26, 2022, a statue of William Dunlop was unveiled in Ballymoney’s Memorial Garden, among memorials to his father, Robert, and uncle, Joey.
Michael Dunlop’s other brother Daniel is a soldier. Daniel entered the Royal Irish Regiment at the age of 16 and rose to the rank of sergeant after service in Norway, Spain, and Canada.
One of his final trips took him to Afghanistan, where he confronted the hazards of battle in the war-torn country.
