Michael Dean Cohen is a convicted felon and disbarred lawyer who worked as an attorney for US President Donald Trump from 2006 to 2018.

Michael Cohen is the son of Maurice Cohen and Sondra Cohen. Cohen was raised in the town of Lawrence on Long Island, New York.
His mother was a nurse, and his father, a Holocaust survivor, was a surgeon. Cohen is Ashkenazi Jewish
Cohen was a vice president of the Trump Organization and Trump’s personal counsel, and was frequently referred to in the media as Trump’s “fixer.”

He was a board member of the Eric Trump Foundation, a children’s health charity, and served as co-president of Trump Entertainment.
Cohen served as the Republican National Committee’s deputy finance chairman from 2017 to 2018.
After pleading guilty to tax evasion and campaign finance violations, he was sentenced to three years in federal prison and ordered to pay a $50,000 fine on December 12, 2018.
The New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, officially disbarred him on February 26, 2019. On May 6, 2019, he reported to the federal prison near Otisville, New York.
