Why Was Michael Cohen Jailed?

Cohen was sentenced to three years in federal prison and forced to pay a $50,000 fine on December 12, 2018, after pleading guilty to tax evasion and campaign finance offenses.

The New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, prohibited him from practicing law in the state of New York on February 26, 2019.
