The New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, prohibited him from practicing law in the state of New York on February 26, 2019.
Cohen, who reported to jail in May 2019, was released to home confinement after approximately a year due to a coronavirus epidemic in federal prisons.
Michael Cohen was returned to prison for several weeks before a judge ordered his release on home confinement, saying that his return to prison was clearly intended to punish him for his plan to publish his book, “Disloyal: The True Story of Michael Cohen, Former Personal Attorney to President Donald J. Trump.”
