Australian dual-code rugby coach and former player Michael Cheika (born 4 March 1967) has been in charge of the Argentina national team since 2022. From 2014 to 2019, Cheika led the Australian rugby union squad.

He was given the 2015 World Rugby Coach of the Year award. Heineken Cup with Leinster in 2009 and Super Rugby with the New South Wales Waratahs in 2014 make him the only coach to have won the main rugby club championship in each hemisphere.

Throughout his coaching career, Cheika has served as the head coach at Padova, Randwick, and Stade Français. His parents emigrated to Australia in the 1950s, making Cheika a second-generation Lebanese Australian. Cheika was named director of rugby for the Japanese rugby union team Green Rockets in May 2021.

Cheika began his rugby career as a player, competing for many clubs in the Sydney club rugby league. He also participated in matches for the New South Wales Waratahs and the Australian Schoolboys team.
