His father Don Biehn was a lawyer and his mother Marcia Connell was a homeworker. He is of German and Irish ancestry on his father’s side.
Michael Biehn relocated with his family as a child to Lincoln, Nebraska, and then to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where he was a member of the high school theatre club before graduating.
Before relocating to Hollywood, he attended the drama programme at the University of Arizona, where he was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity.

Biehn’s career began in the late 1970s, but he gained widespread recognition and acclaim in the 1980s and 1990s for his memorable roles in action and science-fiction films.
One of his most iconic performances came in the role of Kyle Reese in James Cameron’s sci-fi classic “The Terminator” (1984).
In addition to his work in film, Biehn has made appearances on television, contributing his talents to various TV shows and mini-series.
Beyond acting, Michael Biehn has also tried his hand at writing and directing. He directed the horror film “The Victim” (2011) in which he also starred.
