Melissa Mathison Cause Of Death: What Happened To Harrison Ford’s Ex-Wife?

Melissa Mathison died on November 4, 2015, in Los Angeles, aged 65 from neuroendocrine cancer. She died at UCLA Medical Centre.

Shortly before her death, she reunited with Spielberg to write the screenplay for the Roald Dahl adaptation.

She was married to Harrison Ford from 1995 to 2004 and had two children with the actor, Malcolm and Georgia.

Melissa served as an associate producer on E.T which was produced by Kathleen Kennedy. She also worked closely with Mathison on the concept for the film partially inspired by his parents, saying in a statement that “Melissa had a heart that shined with generosity and love burned as bright as the heart she gave ET”.
