Dennis Quaid Dennis is an American actor and the ex-husband of actress Meg Ryan. The former couple fell in love while filming the 1988 movie D.O.A. and later married in 1991.

They have one child together, Jack Quaid, born April 24, 1992. She and Quaid announced their separation in June 2000, and their divorce became final in July 2001.

18 years after their split, Dennis Quaid admits he felt overshadowed by Meg Ryan during their marriage. In July 2018, the actor appeared on Megyn Kelly TODAY where he was quizzed on his former costars and Ryan came up.

But even though their marriage ended almost two decades ago, Quaid said Ryan, was “the most successful relationship of my life.”
