Meet Laeticia Amihere, first player of Ghanaian descent to be drafted into the WNBA

Laeticia Amihere is a Canadian college basketball player for the Atlanta Dream of the WNBA. Laeticia Amihere was born on July 10, 2001, in Mississauga, Canada.

Laeticia Amihere played college basketball at the South Carolina Gamecocks of the Southeastern Conference (SEC).

Laeticia Amihere was one of three South Carolina players selected in the first round of the 2023 WNBA Draft alongside Aliyah Boston and Zia Cooke.

Laeticia Amihere declared for the draft on Tuesday after completing her fourth season with the University of South Carolina, winning a national championship in 2022.
