Ghanaian hip-hop artist Samuel Adu Frimpong, widely known as Medikal, has shared that he recently came to the realization that prioritizing self-love is essential over seeking validation from others.

He believes that loving oneself is the greatest gift a person can ever possess.
In a tweet shared on X, the rapper expressed, “It took me a long time to realize you don’t necessarily need anyone’s love when there is self-love. I’m selfish with love right now. I’m so in love with myself, in fact, I’m obsessed.”

Medikal recently revealed that his marriage to actress Fella Makafui has encountered difficulties.
He mentioned that they are presently co-parenting their daughter, Island Frimpong, a development that surprised many given the depth of their relationship.
