Mayim Bialik began her career as a child actress in the late 1980s. However, she came into the limelight for playing the title character of the NBC sitcom Blossom from 1991 to 1995. She wrote and directed her first film, As They Made Us which was released on April 8, 2022.

Mayim Chaya Bialik’s family are originally Jewish immigrants residing in the Bronx, New York City. She was brought up by parents Barry Bialik and Beverly Winkleman Bialik alongside a brother named Isaac Brynjegard-Bialik.

Mayim Bialik earned a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience, with minors in Hebrew and Jewish studies, in 2000 from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She joined the cast of The Big Bang Theory where she portrayed Dr Amy Farrah Fowler in 2010. Her performance got her nominated four times in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
