May Blood, Baroness Blood, MBE, was a British politician who served in the House of Lords as a Labour peer from 31 July 1999 to 4 September 2018. There is no information to confirm whether or not Baroness Blood had children.

Blood was a founding member of the Northern Ireland Women’s Coalition (NIWC). In the 1995 Birthday Honours, she was named a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).
Blood was awarded an honorary D.Univ from Ulster University in 1998, Queen’s University Belfast in 2000, and the Open University in 2001. Watch my Lips, I’m Speaking, her autobiography was published in 2007.

Blood received the Grassroot Diplomat Initiative Award in the Social Driver category in January 2013 for her tireless campaign for integrated education in Northern Ireland, which helped raise more than £15 million. Blood left the House of Lords on September 4, 2018.
Baroness Blood, died on October 21, 2022, at the age of 84. She has received tributes for her good works.
