Maxi Jazz Dead: What Happened To Maxi Jazz?

Maxi Jazz, born Maxwell Fraser, a British musician, rapper, singer-songwriter and DJ has died. Maxi Jazz was born on 14 June 1957 and died on 23 December 2022. He was 65 years.

An astute musician, Maxi Jazz was best known for his role as the lead vocalist of British electronic band Faithless from 1995 to 2011 and 2015.

“We are heartbroken to say Maxi Jazz died last night. He was a man who changed our lives in so many ways.

“He gave proper meaning and message to our music.

“He was a lovely human being with time for everyone and a wisdom that was both profound and accessible. It was an honour and, of course, a true pleasure to work with him.

“He was a brilliant lyricist, a DJ, a Buddhist, a magnificent stage presence, car lover, endless talker, beautiful person, moral compass and genius.”

Maxi Jazz was in the Faithless band together with Rollo and Sister Bliss.

Sister Bliss said he died “peacefully in his sleep” in his south-London home on Friday night.

Sister Bliss also wrote on Twitter:

“Sending love to all of you who shared our musical journey. Look after each other y’hear.”
