As of January 2014, Walsh was deputy chairman of financial advisory and was a member of the firm’s investment committee. He was also the Non-executive Chairman of the Global Resource Master Fund, and Asian Masters Fund and he was a director of the Australian Governance Masters Fund.

Walsh died on March 23, 2022, after a long struggle with dementia.
