Mason Taylor plays tight end for the LSU Tigers in American football. Taylor went to Florida’s Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas High School. He made a commitment to play collegiate football at Louisiana State University (LSU).

In 2022, Taylor’s true freshman season at LSU, he was given playing time. He recorded four receptions for 34 yards in his debut game. He caught the game-winning two-point convert against Alabama in week ten, giving LSU its first victory against the Crimson Tide at home since 2010.

Twenty teams made offers to Taylor, but in the end, on July 29, 2021, Taylor chose to sign with the Bayou Bengals. On December 15, even after former coach Ed Orgeron was fired, Taylor continued to sign his letter of intent to play for LSU and new coach Brian Kelly.

Additionally, Jason Taylor, an NFL Hall of Famer, is his father. He spent 15 years on the field with the Miami Dolphins, Washington Redskins, and New York Jets as an outside linebacker and defensive end.
