Mary Steenburgen’s husband is Ted Danson, an American actor known for his work in television and film.

Steenburgen and Danson met in 1993 on the set of the film “Pontiac Moon,” in which they both starred. They began dating soon after and were married in 1995.
The couple shares Mary Steenburgen’s first marriage’s children, Lily and actor Charlie McDowell as well as Danson’s two daughters from his previous marriage, Kate, and Alexis.
Since their marriage, Steenburgen and Danson have remained active in the entertainment industry, both separately and together.
Ted Danson has continued to act in a wide variety of films and television shows, including his Emmy-nominated role as Michael on the NBC comedy “The Good Place.”

Mary Steenburgen has also remained active as an actress, appearing in such films as “Step Brothers” and “The Book Club,” and winning critical acclaim for her performance in the Netflix series “Ozark.”
In addition to their work in entertainment, Steenburgen and Danson are also known for their philanthropy and activism.
She and Danson gave a guest lecture for students at the Clinton School of Public Service in September 2005, where they discussed their roles in public service as well as the foundations and causes in which they are involved.
