English fashion icon Mary Quant passed away on April 13, 2023, at the age of 93.

Quant died of natural causes, and is survived by her son, Orlando.

Tributes have poured in from across the globe for the late icon:

“RIP Dame Mary Quant, Her style and designs inspired my own early fashion experiments and set my lifetime love of fashion”, a fan wrote on social media.

A second tribute reads: ”I’m so sad to hear of the death of the iconic 60s fashion designer Dame Mary Quant. RIP, great lady.”

“Dame Mary, aged 93, was one of the most internationally recognised Fashion Designers of the 20th Century and an outstanding innovator of the Swinging Sixties”, wrote another.

Quant who began by running a boutique, ended up rubbing shoulders with the likes of Chanel and Dior.
