Misiak has gained global attention following his selection by the Chicago Blackhawks with the 55th overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.
Prior to being selected by the Blackhawks, Misiak played for two teams: HC Nove Zamky in the Slovak Extraliga and the Youngstown Phantoms in the United States Hockey League (USHL).
He totaled ten points in 29 games with Nove Zamky, a solid rate for an 18-year-old in a professional league. But that didn’t exactly translate with the Phantoms, where he had 17 points in 27 games.

Born on September 30, 2004, in Banska Bystrica, SVK, Misiak is an NHL-caliber athlete.
Misiak is a standout skater for his size, with smooth extensions, light crossover patterns, a quick first step, and a strong overall transition package that shows good hands and sees him make plays at speed.
There are times when he can overhandle it, and there were times in the USHL when I would have liked to see him take over games with his natural abilities, but he’s got skill, skating, size, and a competitive spirit to work with.
