Martin Jones is a Canadian ice hockey goaltender who currently plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League.

Martin and his Alex wife welcomed their son Rory in 2022. Jones began his professional career with the Manchester Monarchs in the American Hockey League (AHL) and made his NHL debut in 2013, where he spent two seasons as Jonathan Quick’s backup.

Jones won the Stanley Cup with the Kings in 2014. In 2017, he was selected to play in the NHL All-Star Game. He previously played for the Los Angeles Kings, San Jose Sharks, Philadelphia Flyers, and Seattle Kraken.

He began his junior hockey career with the Calgary Hitmen in 2006–07 and served as the backup to Dan Spence for two seasons. Jones ended the 2009-10 season with the Hitmen with a league-best GAA of 2.21 and was named an Eastern Conference First Team All-Star.

During the season, he broke Spence’s team record for career wins with 16, and his 16 career shutouts also set a franchise record. He also won a silver medal with Team Canada at the 2010 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.
