Marta Xargay Casademont, a former Spanish professional basketball player, was born on December 20, 1990. She played for many European clubs in the Czech Republic, Russia, and Spain in addition to the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury. From 2011 to 2020, she was a member of the Spain women’s national basketball team.

She and Perfumeras Avenida Baloncesto won the EuroLeague Women 2010–11 season. She departed Spain in 2015 and on February 11, 2015, she signed with the Phoenix Mercury of the WNBA. She also joined USK Praha of the Czech League in 2015.

She joined Dynamo Kursk of the Russian Premier League in September 2018 then went back to Uni Girona CB, where she first played, in January 2020. She didn’t play in the 2020–21 season, and in July 2021 she declared her retirement.
