She is engaged to be married to Orlando Pride teammate Toni Pressley. Marta currently plays as a forward for the Orlando Pride of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and the Brazilian national team.
Marta is widely considered to be the greatest female footballer of all time. Her rise to prominence began in the early 2000s when she joined the Brazilian Women’s National Team, becoming a critical player in their attacking force.

Marta’s club career also saw significant success. She made her mark playing for the Swedish club Umeå IK, where she became a dominant force in the Damallsvenskan league.
Throughout her career, she has played for various other clubs, including FC Gold Pride, Western New York Flash, and Orlando Pride in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in the U.S., as well as Brazilian clubs Santos and Rosengård in Sweden.
She has been named FIFA World Player of the Year six times, five of which were consecutive (from 2006 to 2010), with the most recent being in 2018.
