New Zealand actor, Marshall Napier, passed away on August 14, 2022. He was aged 70

Napier is survived by his children, James Reuben Napier, actress Jessica Napier, and Rose Napier.
His death was as a result of a long battle with brain cancer.
Born on October 22, 1951, Lower Hutt, New Zealand, Napier doubles as a playwright and graphic artist.
He is a popular face on Australasian films and television shows.
Napier was raised in Lower Hutt and attended Hutt Valley High School.

Napier appeared in several movies and TV series during his lifetime. Some of them include Goodbye Pork Pie (1981), Beyond Reasonable Doubt, Bad Blood, Came a Hot Friday (1985).
Other movies in which he started in are Pallet on the Floor (1986), as Joe Voot; Footrot Flats: The Dog’s Tale (1986), Bellbird (2019), Earl’s Town (2020), and Northspur (2020).
Napier and his daughter, Jessica, are both vegetarians and animal rights activists.
In 2002, they won a whooping sum of $64,000 on a TV game show, all for a South Australian animal rights group.
