Mark Turgeon is a 56-year-old American college men’s basketball coach who recently parted ways with the Maryland Terrapins. Mark Turgeon was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas and he played as a point guard for the Kansas Jayhawks.

Mark Turgeon served as head coach for Jacksonville State University, Wichita State University, Texas A&M University, and the last college he coached is the University of Maryland.
Mark Turgeon won the 2006 MVC Coach of the Year and the 2015 Big Ten Coach of the Year. Mark Turgeon won the 2006 MVC regular-season championship and he also won the Big Ten regular-season championship.
