Mark Speight, an English television host was discovered hanging from the roof of MacMillan House, next to London’s Paddington Station, on April 13, 2008.

Mark Speight disappeared six days before his body was found. The discovery was made by railway workers at 10:00 a.m. and British Transport Police confirmed Speight’s body on April 14, 2008.
According to police, Speight may have entered the area where he was discovered through a sixth-floor fire exit.
Speight’s funeral was held on 28 April at St Michael and All Angels’ Church in Tettenhall and hundreds went to pay their respects.

His coffin was carried out of the church to the tune of SMart. His ashes were later interred in Tettenhall after he was cremated.
An inquest into his death determined that Speight was deeply depressed as a result of his fiancée’s death. It was also revealed that suicide notes had been discovered, one in his left pocket and one addressed to his parents in his home diary.
The notes stated that he couldn’t “imagine life without his fiancée. According to Paul Knapman, the coroner, there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
