Gerard and Rachel Sheehan are the parents of Mark Sheehan, the lead guitarist and co-founder of the popular Irish rock band, The Script.

Mark was born to his parents in Dublin on October 29, 1976.
Unfortunately his parents passed away when he was very young.
Mark’s father Gerard passed aay when he was just 14 years old. His mother was reported to have sufered a stroke before she died.
There is no information on the professional life of Mark’s late parents.
On April 14, 2023, The Script announced the death of Mark Sheehan via their social media pages.

The statement announcing his demise read:
“Much loved husband, father, brother, band mate and friend Mark Sheehan passed away today in hospital after a brief illness,”
“The family and group ask fans to respect their privacy at this tragic time.”
The Script were founded in Dublin in 2001 with Sheehan on guitar, his childhood friend Danny O’Donoghue as the lead singer, and Glen Power on drums.
The Script have won three Meteor Ireland Music Awards and two World Music Awards, and have been nominated two times for Brit Awards.
Their latest releases include their third acoustic EP in 2022, titled Acoustic Session 3 , followed shortly by 2022 single “Dare You to Doubt Me”.
Mark Sheehan is survived by his wife Rina Sheehan and three children.
