Cristiano Ronaldo made his 200th Premier League appearance today against Everton but the celebration the Old Trafford fans expected came from the opposition goal scorer – not their GOAT.

Cristiano Ronaldo now has 87 goals from 200 appearances for Manchester United in the English Premier League but did not get the best way to celebrate it as he failed to find the net. Already, he has five goals from seven games since his historic comeback.
Andros Townsend restored parity for the visitors and could not resist celebrating in Ronaldo-esque fashion in front of the Manchester United supporters as he leaped in the air to land with his arms pointed behind his back – “siuuuu”.

Speaking after the game, Andros Townsend cleared doubts stating that the celebration was a “mark of respect” to his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo and that he feels he did not do it as he expected.

“It’s a mark of respect to a guy who influenced my career,” he said.
“I spent many hours on the training pitch and in the video room trying to analyze his free-kicks and his stepovers and the way he dedicates himself to football.
“So it wasn’t an imitation, it was a mark of respect to one of my idols. I probably didn’t do the celebration justice and didn’t execute it perfectly.”
