She was born to Gregorio Verdu and Maribel Rollan Carvajal. She has two sisters Marina Verdu and Carlota Verdu.

Verdú started her career when she was just 13 years old. Her debut movie was released in 1985 titled Captain Sanchez’s Crime. Some of her earliest films also include; Lovers (1992) and Belle Epoque (1992). She also appeared in numerous commercials.
She dropped out of school when she was 15 to focus fully on her career. After starring in Lovers, she shared that she got numerous acting gigs. She worked with many talented directors including Jose Luis Garci in Cradle Song, Brigas Luna in Golden Balls, and Carreteras Secundarias with Academy Award-winner, Emilio Martinez-Lazaro.
In March 2021, she was cast to play the role of Nora Allen, mother of Barry Allen in The Flash movie which is set to be released in June 16, 2023.
