Margherita Pastore is the wife of Piero Angela, the late Italian television host, science journalist, writer and pianist who died aged 93 on August 13, 2022. Pastore’s husband died a few months to celebrating his 94th birthday.

Margherita Pastore, gave up her career as a dancer in order to get married to Piero. At the time of marriage, Margherita was 19 years of age.
Margherita spoke fondly of her marriage to Piero, saying;
“We didn’t make a decision, but the strange thing that you have inside and that makes you act sometimes not completely rationally, but beautifully.
“That same thing that had already bewitched us at first glance, during a birthday party in the home of mutual friends.”

The pair eventually moved to Paris and where they had their two children; their daughter, Christine, and son, Alberto.
Margherita’s husband was also an accomplished author, having written thirty-three books, which sold over three million copies.
Her late husband also received many honorary degrees, made over sixty documentaries and hundreds of television episodes, won seven Telegattos and won the national television directing award eight times.
