Antonoff was born I’m a Jewish family to Shira Wall and Rick Antonoff, as the second of three children.

Antonoff had his elementary education at the Solomon Schechter Day School of Bergen County, and later moved to Manhattan to complete his high school.

Antonoff heads a band of rock musicians called the Bleachers.
He started as a guitarist and drummer in a pop rock band and later became the lead singer of the indie rock band Steel Train.

As a songwriter, he has worked with several artists, including Tegan and Sara, Taylor Swift, Lorde, St. Vincent, Florence and the Machine, Lana Del Rey, Kevin Abstract, Carly Rae Jepsen, the Chicks, and Clairo.
Antonoff is known to have collaborated with a number of artistes like Sam and Taylor Swift to peoduce songs “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever”, “Look What You Made Me Do” Reputation, “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things”, “Call It What You Want”, and “New Year’s Day”.
