They tied the knot after six years of dating. Pele had two previous wives, Rosemari dos Reis Cholbi and Assiria Lemos Seixas, before courting Aoki.

Marcia attended her local school in Brazil before heading off to high school to secure a bachelor’s degree and that led to Aoki starting a business in the medical supplies sector.

Aoki reportedly met Pele in the 1980s at a New York Party but rumours of their relationship didn’t surface until 2010.  Also, despite being pictured together often, the lovers never confirmed their relationship until July 2016 when they announced their marriage.
