Renowned Spanish Flamenco Guitarist and Composer Manolo Sanlúcar has died at age 78.  He passed away on August 27, 2022, in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain.

Sancular was considered one of the most important Spanish composers of recent times.

Again, together with Paco de Lucía, Tomatito, and Vicente Amigo, Sancular was considered as one of the main figures in the evolution of the flamenco guitar.

Sancular was born on 24 November 1943 and he died on 27 August 2022 at age 78.

He was about two months away from his 94th birthday.

Though Sancular’s cause of death is yet to be revealed, in August 2021 and at age 77, he was hospitalised in Jerez (Cádiz) for a multi-organ failure after having a fainting spell at his Sanlcar home.
