Cristiano Ronaldo has been named Manchester United’s player of the month for September 2021, after scoring five goals from five games on his return to the club. Two go’s against Newcastle United on his debut, a goal against Young Boys, a goal against West Ham United and also a goal a giant Villareal.

“So we needed to freshen it up. When it’s an early kick-off the start of this game is going to be important and we’ve got some very good players coming on as well. It’s a team we think is going to take charge of the game.”

A win for Manchester United will see them top the table but a draw or defeat will be an obstacle to their title hope.
