Benjamin Mendy Rape Charge
Mendy is currently in Cheshire police custody after he was charged with four (4) counts of rape and one (1) count of sexual assault. According to the Cheshire police, an investigation was conducted as a result of charges against the player by three (3) complaints over the age of sixteen (16) that are alleged to have taken place between October 2020 and August 2021. The City player is set to appear in the Chester Magistrates’ court today, Friday 27th August 2021. Following these charges, Manchester City has suspended the player as they embark on an investigation.
