Mallory Park Crash

Mallory Park is a motor racing circuit in central England, located in the community of Kirkby Mallory, just off the A47 between Leicester and Hinckley. Originally utilised for grass-track racing until 1955, a new, essentially oval hard-surfaced course was built for 1956, with an addition later providing a loop with a hairpin curve.

There have been several incidences of accidents in Mallory Park. One of the victims is Jacob Smith. Jacob Smith, who is from  Leicester, was participating in a track day at the county’s Mallory Park circuit when he failed to anticipate a corner and collided head-on with a wall at a speed of 110mph.

He was taken to Coventry Hospital by paramedics, who informed him that he had sustained life-changing injuries in the incident on Sunday, October 3 of last year.

According to Elle his girlfriend, He also had five broken ribs, a punctured lung, and a damaged shoulder. He endured internal bleeding around the heart, blood clots around the lungs, and a major infection during the next three weeks. But he continued to fight for his life.
