In the past two months alone, Cawthorn has been the subject of headlines concerning his bringing of a loaded gun to a Charlotte airport, his various driving infractions, and his past behaviors (including photos of him wearing lingerie that were published last week by Politico).

The photos obtained by Politico showed Cawthorn with a vacant look in his eyes, wearing women’s hoop earrings and a woman’s necklace along with a bra and lingerie set.

Quite recently, Cawthorn accused his GOP colleagues of inviting him to orgies.

The revelation of the photos is the latest in a series of unflattering headlines for the freshman member of Congress in the run-up to the primary in his first re-election bid.
