The supporters allege that Adorye’s arrest is politically motivated and question the legality of his detention.

In a passionate defense captured on camera, one supporter questioned the essence of democracy if individuals like Adorye could be detained without proper justification.

She suggested that the government’s actions were aimed at silencing Adorye to prevent him from revealing damaging information about the party.

According to her, Adorye’s detention is linked to his support for Alan Kyerematen and his efforts to expose alleged corrupt practices within the party.

“Hopeson has been detained because he supports Alan Kyerematen and is revealing the NPP’s dirty deals that were used to gain power; we all know who is behind these instructions from above,” she asserted.

Hopeson Adorye, a former member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), was arrested following controversial remarks made during an interview on Accra FM on May 10, 2024.

During the interview, Adorye admitted to participating in activities aimed at intimidating voters in the Volta Region during the December 2016 elections.

He confessed that dynamite blasts were used to deter voters, contributing to the NPP’s electoral success in the region.

Adorye’s arrest has sparked outrage among M4C supporters, who demand his immediate release and allege political interference in the judicial process.

As of now, Adorye remains in police custody, assisting with investigations into the matter.
