Nigerian rapper M.I has shocked many by revealing that he and fellow musician Wizkid were offered substantial sums of money by politicians to sway their decisions during recent elections.

In a candid interview, M.I detailed the amounts and the parties involved, shedding light on the political pressures faced by Nigerian artists.
According to M.I, he was approached by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to endorse their candidate in the final election.

He stated, “This election was a true revealer of many characters of Nigerian artists.” Despite the lucrative offer, M.I chose to speak out about the incident, highlighting the extent to which politicians are willing to go to secure support from influential figures.
Wizkid, on the other hand, refused the offer, choosing to remain neutral. M.I praised Wizkid’s decision, noting that many citizens were already disillusioned with the current political landscape and desired significant change.
“Wizkid refused, choosing to remain neutral as many citizens were already tired of the same politicians and needed an overhaul of the system,” M.I said.
