Meet Joanna Simon

Joanna Simon is a journalist and mezzo-soprano. As a singer, Simon appeared in operas and concerts all over the world from 1962 to 1986, and then only on occasion until the late 1990s.

She won the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and the Marian Anderson Award in 1962, the same year she made her opera debut at the New York City Opera as Mozart’s Cherubino.

Meet Peter Simon

Peter Simon was a renowned photographer. He also published several books, including a recent history of Martha’s Vineyard titled, “To Everything There Is a Season.”

Peter Simon died from a heart attack at the age of 71 on November 18, 2018.

Meet Carly Simon

Carly Simon is a musician, songwriter, and children’s book author. She rose to prominence in the 1970s with a string of hit singles, including “Anticipation” (No. 13), “The Right Thing to Do” (No. 17), “Haven’t Got Time for the Pain” (No. 14), and “You Belong to Me” (No. 6).

Among her many honours, she has two Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2004 for “You’re So Vain.”
