Goldberg founded her literary agency to promote books that others would have avoided. In an article published during the fallout from the Lewinsky tapes, the New York Times described her as “an agent with a taste for right-wing, tell-all attack books.”

Her previous work included co-founding the Pussycat League, a group that campaigned against feminism and the Equal Rights Amendment in 1970.

Lucianne Goldberg passed away at the age of 87 on October 26, 2022. Lucianne Goldberg’s son Jonah Goldberg, announced on Twitter on Thursday, October 27, 2022, that his mother died at home on Wednesday. He did not specify the cause of death.
