Louisville Pediatrician Arrested

Stephanie Russell, a 52-year-old pediatrician of Louisville, Kentucky, has been arrested for allegedly killing her ex-husband.

On May 15, 2022, Russell had reportedly called a hitman and made arrangements with him to carry out the dastardly act.

Unknown to her, the hitman was an undercover FBI agent.

She had paid him $7,000 to murder her ex-husband.

The preliminary and detention hearings was held on Tuesday, May 24, in the U.S. Gene Snyder Courthouse.

Russell has been charged and faces the risk of being sentenced to 10 years imprisonment if convicted, with no parole.

She and her ex-husband had been involved in a custody fight.

“It is said that it came to this,” a spokesperson for the jury said.“I feel safer today than yesterday.”, he added.

The case is currently being investigated by the FBI and the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant U. S. Attorney Marisa Ford.

Russell has been confined in a federal prison in Oldham County.
