Nel-Mare Oosthuizen, Louis’ childhood sweetheart, is his wife. The couple met in South Africa and married in 2007 in Louis’ hometown of Mossel Bay.

Together, they had three children – Jana, Sophia and Emma. Jana was born in 2009, Sophia in 2012 and Emma in 2013.
South African golfer Louis Oosthuizen is presently rated No. 15 in the world. He has finished second in four major tournaments: the 2012 Masters Tournament, the 2015 and 2021 US Opens, the 2015 Championship, and the 2017 and 2021 PGA Championship.

Oosthuizen, 39, did, however, win the 2010 Open Championship at St Andrew’s.
On the Sunshine Tour, he has won five professional tournaments: the 2004 Vodacom Origins of Golf Tour event at Arabella, the 2007 Dimension Data Pro-Am and Platinum Classic, and the Telkom PGA Championship in 2007 and 2008.
In 2003, he competed on the European Challenge Tour, and since 2004, he has been a member of the European Tour. He finished 31st in the Race to Dubai in 2009. For the first time in his career, he entered the top ten of the Official World Golf Ranking on September 10, 2012.
