Lordina Mahama calls for unity within NDC ahead of 2024 Election

Mrs. Lordina Dramani Mahama, wife of NDC flag bearer John Mahama, emphasized the need for unity within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) during a meeting with Northern regional and constituency executives in Tamale on Friday, June 1 2024.

Addressing party members, Mrs. Mahama stressed the importance of setting aside differences and focusing on the collective goal of securing victory for John Mahama and the NDC’s parliamentary candidates in the upcoming 7th December elections.

“If someone offends you, think about John Mahama and forgive the person,” she urged, highlighting the necessity of reconciliation within the party ranks.

Mrs. Mahama also took the opportunity to extend her well wishes for the upcoming Eid ul-Adha festival to all Muslim attendees at the meeting.

She distributed tokens to mark the occasion, demonstrating her support and respect for the cultural and religious diversity within the party.

Ali Adolf, the Northern Regional Chairman of the NDC, expressed optimism about John Mahama’s prospects in the presidential election.

He assured Mrs. Mahama of the party’s commitment to securing victory in all eighteen parliamentary seats in the region through dedicated efforts.

The meeting was attended by regional and constituency executives from all eighteen constituencies, as well as Members of Parliament. Mrs. Mahama’s engagement in Tamale marked her third visit to regions across the country, following previous visits to the Savanna and Bono East Regions.
