What is the format of LIV Golf? The format of the LIV Golf is simple stroke play through 54 holes for LIV and 72 on the PGA Tour, with the golfer who amasses the lowest score after the completion of the tournament being named the winner.

LIV is a reference to the Roman numeral for 54, which is the number of holes each player will complete in each event’s three-round format, which is one fewer round than a typical PGA Tour workweek, but for a lot more money.
