Linda Motlhalo parents: Meet Johannes Motlhalo

Football champ Linda Motlhalo was born to her father, Johannes Motlhalo, and her mother, whose name has not been disclosed to the public.

Linda comes from a family of football players and enthusiasts. Her uncle, Joseph Motlhalo played as a goalkeeper for Kaizer Chiefs F.C. between 1970 and 1985.

Her father Johannes, had tried professional football, but didn’t go far in it.

Who Is Linda Motlhalo?

Linda Motlhalo is a South African soccer winger who currently plays for Glasgow City and the South Africa women’s national team.

Linda joined the SWPL 1 club Glasgow City in 2023, and has so far made 16 appearances for the club, scoring 3 goals.

Linda first began playing football with the South African club JVW FC. She has additionally played for other clubs including Houston Dash, Beijing BG Phoenix, and Djurgården.

When she played for Beijing BG Phoenix F.C. in the Chinese Women’s Super League, she started all 14 league games for Beijing, and helped the team to reach the semifinal in the Chinese Women’s Championship.

Linda has represented South Africa in several international matches since 2015, and has so far made 52 appearances for the country, scoring 16 goals.

Some of the international matches she has appeared include the African Women Cup of Nations, and COSAFA Women’s Championship.
