At the 2022 Met Gala, Lin-Manuel Miranda walked down the red carpet wearing his long-tailed best.

It was the first Met Gala for the actor, writer, filmmaker, and all-around ace performer.
Miranda brought Hamilton’s style to life with all the over-the-top jazz befit of fashion’s biggest night.
The theme is “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” and Miranda’s larger-than-life lapels cut a striking silhouette and playful take on the classic American gentleman. It was designed by Hamilton costume designer Paul Tazewell.

Miranda was joined by his wife Vanessa Nadal on the carpet, who came dressed to impress in a vibrant fuchsia gown.

Miranda knows a thing or two about American tradition. His instant-classic play Hamilton won 11 Tony awards and broke the record for most nominations with 16.
It also took home the Pulitzer Prize for drama in 2016. The Broadway production was filmed and released in Disney+ in 2020, but it’s still showing on stages across the country.
An official Met co-host, Miranda remains at the top of the charts with his latest hit Encanto. The Disney release held on to the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks and has stayed on the chart for 17 and counting.
He recently acted in The Little Mermaid, which is now in post-production and is set for release in 2023; as well as upcoming romance flick The Making Of, which co-stars fellow Met Gala host Blake Lively and Hollywood favorites Richard Gere and Diane Keaton.
