Lia Wälti’s career began at age 8, when she played with the boy’s team FC Langnau, and other teams like Team Bern West, and BSC Young Boys.

Since 2018, Walti has played for Arsenal Women, where she serves as captain.

Walti made her debut for Switzerland in 2011, in a match against Scotland.

Since then, she has played in several international matches, including the European Championship, and the Women’s World Cup.
