Lia Wälti was born on April 19, 1993, in Langnau im Emmental, Bern, Switzerland, began at age 8, when she played with the boy’s team FC Langnau, and other teams like Team Bern West, and BSC Young Boys.

Walti now plays as a midfielder for Switzerland’s national team and the FA Women’s Super League club Arsenal Women, serving as captain of both teams.

Walti has additionally played for various clubs, including Nationalliga A’s club YB Frauen, and Frauen-Bundesliga’s club Turbine Potsdam.
