David Zeldin and Merrill Schwartz are the parents of American attorney, politician, and officer in the United States Army Reserve, Lee Michael Zeldin.

Lee Zeldin was birthed in East Meadow, New York, and was raised in Suffolk County, New York.
Much is not known about Lee’s parents. However, they did their best to ensure a prosperous future by enrolling him in the best schools.
Lee graduated from William Floyd High School in Mastic Beach, New York, in 1998, and also attended Hebrew school.

Lee received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the SUNY University at Albany in 2001 and received a Juris Doctor from Albany Law School in May 2003. Lee was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2004.

Lee is a Republican, and he has represented New York’s 1st congressional district in the United States House of Representatives since 2015.
He represents the eastern two-thirds of Suffolk County, including most of Smithtown, the entirety of Brookhaven, Riverhead, Southold, Southampton, East Hampton, Shelter Island, and a small portion of Islip.
He prominently defended Trump during his [Trump’s] first impeachment hearings in relation to the Trump–Ukraine scandal.
After Trump lost the 2020 presidential election and made false claims of fraud, Lee voted against certification of Arizona’s and Pennsylvania’s electoral votes.
Lee is the Republican candidate for New York governor, and he was assaulted by a man who apparently tried to stab him at an upstate event Thursday, July 21, 2022.
