Lee Sang-su won two singles titles at the ITTF Pro Tour with the first one in 2010. He made his first impact in table tennis as a youth at the ITTF Pro Tour.

For World Championships, Lee Sang-Su won 2013 Paris: Silver medal for mixed doubles, 2015 Suzhou: Bronze medal for doubles, 2016 Kuala Lumpur: Bronze medal for team, 2017 Düsseldorf: Bronze medal for doubles and singles 2018 Halmstad: Bronze medal for team.

Lee Sang-su won the silver medal during the 2013 Paris World Championships for the mixed doubles category. A couple of years later, he won five more bronze medals from different categories in the World Championships, representing South Korea.
Lee Sang-su represented South Korea at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the men’s team event after winning the Olympic trials held in February 2021. He reached the semifinals in the singles event at the 2017 World Championships.
