The club expressed gratitude for his and his staff’s contributions in a statement released on Monday morning.
The confrontation occurred after the final whistle of the Serie A match at the Stadio Via Del Mare, with Verona emerging victorious. Henry had a disagreement with Lecce defender Marin Pongracic during the game, and the situation escalated when he approached D’Aversa post-match.

In response, D’Aversa attempted to headbutt the French forward, resulting in both receiving red cards.
Lecce publicly denounced their coach’s actions, while D’Aversa defended himself by claiming he was provoked. The Italian tactician is expected to face a significant ban, and Lecce’s poor performance, with only one win in their last 12 matches, has further complicated the situation.
According to Football Italia, Leonardo Semplici is being considered as a potential replacement for D’Aversa for the remaining ten games of the season.
