Lea Sophie Friedrich (born 7 January 2000) is a German competitive track cyclist. She won a silver medal in the women’s team sprint event at the 2019 UEC European Track Championships in October 2019.

Last year, despite winning two of the eight events, Lea finished second to compatriot and good friend Emma Hinze in the Women’s Sprint. This year, she plans to compete for the top step of the podium.

Lea has had a great career to date. She won an Olympic silver medal in the Team Sprint in Tokyo in 2020, and she has since won five global titles, including back-to-back Team Sprint and Kierin races, as well as the 500m Time Trial in 2021.

Lea Friedrich stands 1.77 meters tall. The women’s Keirin event was the penultimate event at this year’s World Championships, and Germany’s Lea Sophie Friedrich earned the gold. Friedrich competed in the finals against the top six riders from the qualifying rounds. Mina Sato and Steffie van der Peet finished third and fourth, respectively.
